Join artist Roger Bansemer and narrator Sarah Shurcliff Bansemer on an artistic journey of travel and painting on location throughout the country. This new series, “Painting and Travel with Roger & Sarah Bansemer” is now being aired nationwide on over 108 stations.

Painting & Travel with Roger & Sarah Bansemer brings viewers out of the art studio and into the natural world, combining popular public television genres of art and travel. Roger's technical know-how and experience in videography translates well from the canvas to the screen with his fine instructional skills and observations about the world of painting and art.  Sarah rounds out the program with her thoughtful interviews as they take the back roads discovering out of the way places and famous landmarks.

This is one of our episodes on Painting and Travel. In this program, Roger's demonstration was done in acrylics and filmed at the Wupatki National Monument in Arizona. Sarah interviews a member of the Hopi nation about his heritage.

About Roger Bansemer
A graduate of Ringling College of Art in Sarasota, Florida, Roger’s prolific career as an artist covers a wide spectrum, from earlier abstract works to the present day representational paintings of landscapes, shorebirds, wildlife, beachscapes, and nautical themes.
He has eight published books featuring his paintings with forewords by author James A. Michener, artist James Rosenquist, and film maker James Cameron. Roger has been the guest of two expeditions to the Titanic wreck site, and is the first artist ever to have made paintings while in a three person submersible hovering over the bow of Titanic. His other adventures include logging over 700 flights as a hot-air balloonist.

About Sarah Shurcliff Bansemer
Sarah studied music and drama at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and has always had an eye for beauty and a love of travel. She is co-producer of the series and narrates the travelogue part of each episode with her gentle voice and easy going style. Recently completed is her first childrens’ book, “What Teddy Likes”.
